Senior Application Security Engineer - Remote

One of the top three largest, and progressive, ecommerce companies in the world is looking for an Application Security Engineer to add to their team. This engineer would support the company’s Information Security team by performing security architecture and design reviews of all systems and applications. Candidates would be expected to assist identifying products and services as well as monitoring and reviewing security controls to identify operational effectiveness. As an Application Security Engineer, candidates will work alongside their team as they continuously seek ways to enhance current threat detections, response capabilities, assist with the development and refinement of our alerts across multiple applications. They need someone to understand their business needs and marry that with an understanding of software development team processes to deliver collaborative and effective solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

· 7+ years of related work experience in Application Security.

· Experience with SAST/DAST testing in a CI/CD pipeline

· Proven technical background in IT systems and networking, along with experience implementing or assessing security in a cloud-hosted environment.

· Familiarity with AWS (or similar) cloud security and infrastructure.

· Knowledge of and experience with SaaS and web infrastructure security.

· Microsoft Windows application, Apple Mac OS application, and mobile application hardening

Desired Skills & Experience

· Solid understanding automation techniques with tools such as Terraform and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.

· Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.

· Policy administration.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, or related field or equivalent experience

· CISSP and CCSP preferred
