Job Description 

Our client is an industry-leading "cloud cost intelligence platform." Their SaaS product uses a secret sauce of data analytics to help organizations improve the efficiency of their cloud environments. By integrating data from multiple sources, they empower their customers to understand their cloud costs at a meticulous level and in so doing, enables organizations to make educated financial decisions regarding their cloud investments. The company has seen a ton of growth lately as their product is in high demand as more organizations are looking for ways to reduce their spend on cloud services. They recently closed 50 million USD in funding and continue to grow.

They are looking for a Back end (Python focused) Engineer to join their core data capabilities team. The team focuses on supporting, maintaining, and expanding the architecture at the heart of their product, strongly focused on the back-end processes and data manipulation. The ideal candidate is someone that is passionate about cloud-based solutions and optimizing queries.

The company is Boston-based but is remote-first with employees all over the US. This is a Full-time role with great benefits.


Required Skills & Experience 
  • 5+ years of experience building APIs and complex backend systems in the cloud
  • 5+ years managing and manipulating data at scale using SQL and data structures
  • Python experience (the company’s backend code is in Python)
  • Able to work 9 am- 5 pm EST

  • Passionate about developing and delivering high-quality software
  • Passionate about finding creative solutions to difficult data architectural challenges
  • Snowflake experience


What You Will Be Doing 
  • Designing, building, and maintaining APIs and systems for the main application
  • Supporting/maintaining core infrastructure in AWS
  • Supporting/maintaining complex data models and architectures in Snowflake
  • Writing code that is readable and easy to maintain and expand
  • Building to scale to bring in users with larger datasets and bigger clients
  • Collaborating with other engineers on your team for implementing new features to solve any potential customer issues
