Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize their production processes for radiation safety technology products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and uphold the highest standards of manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new product introductions, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead and support process validations, equipment qualifications, and tooling designs to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through process improvements, yield optimizations, and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Engineering teams to transition new products from prototype to full-scale production.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on manufacturing issues, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Establish and maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Management to ensure seamless material availability and supplier quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a regulated industry, preferably in medical devices, nuclear technology, or related fields.
  • Proven track record in leading manufacturing process improvements, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, etc.) and experience with process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
