They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team in Connecticut. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing their manufacturing processes related to radiation technology equipment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a regulated industry such as medical devices or radiation technology.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, welding, and testing.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) for manufacturing.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and regulatory standards (FDA, CE).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Project management experience and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Daily Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the manufacturing process for radiation technology equipment, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and quality assurance protocols to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate with R&D, design engineering, and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve yield.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, root cause investigation, and implementation of process enhancements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safe and compliant manufacturing operations.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and professional growth.
- Evaluate new technologies and manufacturing methods to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
