Cost Analyst

Our client, a leading gas and electric utility provider, is looking to hire a Cost Analyst to join their team in Merrillville, IN! This will be hybrid and require onsite work Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

*This is a 6-month W-2 contract to hire with benefits*

As a Cost Analyst, you will support several high-level investment real estate projects. They are looking for this person to ensure the project work elements are organized and approved while communicating with project stakeholders to ensure budgets are aligned.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure cost data quality is in accordance with accounting principles
• Apply cost risk management for the control of costs
• Assist in contract reviews related to payment requirements
• Process labor timesheets, invoices, and other submittals associated with contract labor
• Assist other Project Managers and Cost Budget Analysts in the accrual process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience
• Proficiency in Excel is a plus
• Prior experience supporting the construction or utilities industries is a plus
