Our client, a global broadcast media and entertainment company, is actively looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Miami! This role is onsite Tuesday-Thursday so local candidates are required. During close week the role is 100% remote.

***This is a 2-3 month initial contract position with the opportunity to extend***

This Senior Accountant will play a key role, supporting the oversight of the daily accounting activities for the company. This position will support the monthly close and overall accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The role will support the 1. standardization of existing processes, 2. Identification of business process efficiencies, and 3. Implementation of best practices. Responsibilities
  • Support month, quarter, and year-end close process inclusive of journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliation preparation and financial statement analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of the Balance Sheet variance analysis and quarterly review with the CFO, VP of FP&A, and Corporate Accounting
  • Communicate and document accounting conclusions
  • Timely preparation of quarterly data requests for Corporate Accounting for purposes of internal/external reporting purposes
  • Ensure all accounting transactions and reporting to Corporate are in compliance with US GAAP
  • Prepare General Ledger reconciliations (Accruals, Prepaid, Deferred Revenue and Expenses, Program Rights and Amortization)
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Build financial reporting in SAP/AOE
  • Assist in the maintenance of the General Ledger master data
  • Support external and internal audits
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA strong preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of GL accounting experience
  • Big 4 Accounting firm experience strongly desired
  • Has knowledge of US GAAP and integrated ERP Accounting systems (SAP preferred)
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a huge plus!
