Our client, a leading financial software company is hiring a remote Accountant to join their team!

**This is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits & paid holidays**

As an Accountant you will maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

  • Gather, prepare, test and maintain journal entries for a broad range of accounting areas consistent with GAAP and corporate accounting policies, to ensure close timelines are met
  • Assess risk over accounts and research technical accounting issues
  • Apply judgment to ensure that financial integrity of accounting entries, accruals, and account reconciliations are intact and operating effectively
  • Booking journal entries and gathering audit evidence
  • Participate in the month and quarter end close process and related responsibilities for the accounting department
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting
  • 3 years of experience in Accounting
  • CPA/MBA is a plus
  • Prior experience using Oracle/Blackline, Business Objects, Excel
  • Experience working in a large public company environment
