A major Investment Bank and Asset Manager are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in New York City office on a hybrid commute.

As a Lead Enterprise Data Architect, The Enterprise Architect will recommend and implement the strategic direction, development, and approach. In this role, one will work to integrate the organization's information, applications, and programs. The enterprise architect will be a key contributor and project lead for their most significant projects and will develop architectural standards and policies.

Job Functions
  • Establish, implement, and maintain architectural strategy, standards, and processes across the IT organization.
  • Architect and design solutions to unique systems problems of the highest complexity and with companywide impact.
  • Partner with Technology and Business leadership to define strategies, make strategic recommendations, and align technology strategy to business strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to Technology and Business leadership.
  • Create and maintain key architecture assets such as system and process diagrams, architectural documentation, and roadmaps.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, advanced degree a plus
  • 10+ years of relevant financial services experience required
  • Strong experience in enterprise data architecture, data platforms, and data strategy
  • Expert ability to create system diagrams, architectural documentation, and roadmaps
  • Ability to handle multiple large tasks on multiple large projects and prioritize appropriately
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms like Azure Data Stack (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Analysis Services, Synapse, Azure DevOps, EventHubs etc)
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Domain (Reference architecture, Target Architecture, Governance, Design principles and Patterns, Defining roadmaps)
  • Strong knowledge in several technology domains such as technical, application, business process, and data
