(NYC) Principle cybersecurity engineer

We're a large credit card company seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead a team of cybersecurity engineers and architects responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions that protect our customers' financial data. This role will be working hybrid from our NYC office, thanks for applying!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security architectures, strategies, and solutions that align with business goals and regulatory requirements
• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers
• Monitor and analyze security events, incidents, and vulnerabilities, and develop remediation plans
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and infrastructure
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify and prioritize security gaps and develop plans to address them
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and provide thought leadership to the organization

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or architecture roles
• Strong understanding of security best practices for financial services and credit card companies
• Experience with security technologies and tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability scanners
• Experience with security compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS and ISO 27001
