Sr. level Project Manager - Agile, FLCD, Financial Industry

Our client is an agile and innovative software development and consulting company with long-standing client relationships and an emerging products division. Their primary expertise is in application development, data visualization, Information Technology (IT), Heavy Financial and Information Systems, and Their clients include large financial firms, utilities and Federal customers. They utilize a balanced team of experienced developers, architects, designers, and project managers to provide exceptional value to our clients.

They are activley seeking a Sr. level PM to work on a hybrid onsite/remote contract with one of the most well-known financial invetment companies in the US located in newport Beach 

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables and timelines.
• Provide daily/weekly reporting to project stakeholders (internal & external) and sponsors, track milestones and deliverables, escalate issues and risks and proactively take ownership for resolution.
• Estimate work effort, timelines, skills, and quantity of resources required to successfully complete project deliverables; develop project plan incorporating all project variables.
• Lead daily/weekly status meetings with team to assess progress against plan and resolve issues.
• Co-ordinate with various client partners and internal groups for Beta & Go-Live support.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar discipline
• Minimum 5+ years of PM experience managing software development projects
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience managing full life cycle software projects
• Strong communication skills with the ability to drive project to completion on time and within budget.
• Must be able to engage in technical discussions with team about project requirements and challenges and drive resolution.
• A history of detail-oriented, multitasking in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
