Motion Recruitment is looking for a highly skilled DB2 DBA to join one of our main clients is a best in-class IT solutions and services company. This candidate would partner with data analysts, application developers, and business partners to analyze, design and implement physical design changes to DB2 database. The ideal candidate that we are looking for would have 5+ years Mainframe DB2 (IMS) database administration experience.
**This would be a remote 6-month+ Contract position**
**Must have IMS DBA experience**
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include database instance tuning, patching and upgrades, managing space, code migration and change controls, schema management, SQL tuning, and application database design support.
- Provide database support and aid in problem identification and resolution.
- Work closely with team members to assure successful application implementations and continued effective use of installed database resources.
- Analyze, test, and implement changes and enhancements to database management software and databases.
- Provide complex database changes, support activities, and application implementations.
- Design and complete database administration maintenance tasks
