Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) / Orlando, FL

We are partnered with the leading company in the silmulation and training industry for DoD sectors. This company designs and builds platforms and infrastructure for the training modules for cyber security teams. They are currently looking for an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to enhance and maintain the security posture of their organization's information systems and networks. You will develop, implement, and maintain advanced threat detection and response strategies, methodologies, and systems and utilize cutting-edge security tools and technologies to monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and security events for potential threats and vulnerabilities. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate potential security threats, while continuously enhancing our threat detection capabilities.
Candidates must be local to the Orlando, FL area and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance. Required Skills & Experience

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard information systems and data.
• Strong knowledge of systems, networks, and security protocols
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, access controls, and vulnerability management tools.
• Strong technical background of linux and virtualization tooling
• Design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures and systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Security or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CEH are a plus
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
