DevOps Lead/3-6 Months Contract/Remote

A leading healthcare company is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer for a 3-6 months contract-to-hire. You will be joining a team dedicated to building out an IDP (internal developer portal). This will be used by engineers across the enterprise organization. As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will help define the roadmap and redesign the CI/CD pipelines. 

The team is working with multiple cloud providers, AWS or GCP is preferred. They are also implementing ArgoCD and GitOps, Kubernetes and Terraform. Strong scripting with Bash, Python, or Ansible is also preferred. This is a 3-6 months contract with health benefits, paid sick time off and 100% remote work environment. 

Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience with cloud environments, AWS and/or GCP
  • 2+ years as a Senior or Lead DevOps Engineer
  • 5+ years of professional work experience in Software Engineering, Development Operations, Site Reliability Engineering or similar field
  • Strong Terraform experience
  • Kubernetes for containers and orchestration
  • Able to work East Coast or Central hours
  • CI/CD pipelining using Jenkins, ArgoCD, Git, or similar tools
  • Strong scripting with Bash, Python
  • YAML
  • Ansible for automation
Desired Skills & Experience
  • BS in Computer Science or STEM degree
