DevSecOps Engineer / Automation Heavy / US Remote

Looking for a long-term contract or contract-to-hire position in a large corporate environment? A financial household name based in California is searching for a Senior DevSecOps (Python-based) Engineer to join their team. The job is a classic DevSecOps Engineer with a particular emphasis on automation.

This is a contract position on an internal high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in security, DevOps, or software development and a minimum of five years of experience as a Security-minded Automation Engineer or DevSecOps Engineer. Knowledge of AWS, Python, securing CI/CD, SAST/DAST scans, and cloud security controls is required.

Contract Duration: 6-12 Months/hire

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience as a Security Automation Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer, or Software Security Engineer
• Strong experience in Cloud Security and understanding of Cloud Security Controls
• Strong experience with scripting languages (Python preferred)
• Experience with secure encryption
• General knowledge of Infrastructure and networking

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• AWS Certifications or other cloud certs
• CISSP or other security certs
