Lead Product Security Architect

Job Description An E-learning software company is currently looking to stand up their security department by implementing a brand new role for a lead of product security. This company is located out of Pennsylvania but offers an opportunity that would be fully remote and supported anywhere in the United States. This company currently uses third parties for most of their security measures now but are fully aware that securing their product is the number 1 priority going forward. With that being said, this person will be tasked with setting up the program, tools and procedures while handling the day to day hands on and building a team. (of course all in moderation)
This position will be a healthy mix of application security and devsecops. This is a 100% cloud hosted infrastructure, so they are looking for someone with experience in multiple areas of security. On the application side of the house, this person will be working directly with developers to help secure the applications. Using SAST/DAST tools and automation through programming languages. In general, this role will be tasked with setting up the security program, essentially from scratch. Implementing tools, updating processes and laying the foundational pipelines for security programs to be stood up. This role offers a challenge, so if you’re looking for your next big thing, this is it! Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5-7 years’ experience in information security
• 2+ years experience in application/product or devsecops
• Previous experience implementing tools and systems
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
• Understanding of security best practices and trends

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience in a leadership role
• Background in infrastructure
