An Application Security Architect is needed to join the team of this cutting-edge online education system serving students in grades K–12. Their software makes it possible for both the student and the teacher to view learning trends, curriculum plans, progress, and feedback to streamline learning and make it more fun. This person will take the helm on their product security team. Look no further if you're searching for an opportunity to work directly with security engineering while serving as a key strategic partner for everything related to cyber security. This person will be able to collaborate across many departments, lead product strategy, and expand their cyber security program. This is a full-time, fully remote role that will allow you to work anywhere in the US. 

Ideal candidates will have a strong coding background or experience, as a lot of this role will involve securing code, SAST/DAST, and ensuring the development lifecycle is secure. This is all happening within AWS, so strong cloud experience is a must. Automation/devops skills are also highly desired. 

Required Skills & Experience 

• 7+ years of professional experience in application security, DevSecOps, or product security
• AWS security skills
• SAST/DAST
• Ability to strategize and plan security goals at a high level
• Automation or coding experience (any language)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience 

• Any relevant security certifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Prior lead/management experience

Daily Responsibilities
