As a Citrix System, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and support of the Citrix systems and related infrastructure. Your expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler, StoreFront, Delivery Controller, and FAS will be critical in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of these systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and provide top-tier support to the clients. This role is 100% remote but you should be based in EST time zone.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Citrix System, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and support of the Citrix systems and related infrastructure. Your expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler, StoreFront, Delivery Controller, and FAS will be critical in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of these systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and provide top-tier support to the clients. This role is 100% remote but you should be based in EST time zone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with your team, taking both collaborative and autonomous approaches to tasks.
- Install, configure, operate, and support Citrix systems hardware and software infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain high availability, performance, and security for Windows-based Virtual Apps and Desktops and NetScaler systems.
- Act as a lead engineer for client migrations and onboarding to Citrix environments, serving as a point of escalation for client issues.
- Accurately record customer information and troubleshooting steps in the case management system.
- Manage and prioritize your queue of open tickets, ensuring timely incident resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively identify and resolve recurring incidents and contribute to process improvement and knowledge documentation efforts.
- Deploy and manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, StoreFront, Delivery Controller, FAS, NetScaler, and associated environments.
- Perform upgrades, patching, and migration of Citrix components as required.
- Troubleshoot and manage Citrix Workspace endpoints.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft-based servers, Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise management systems.
- Provide client support, perform root cause analysis, and recommend/apply resolution steps for cases escalated via various communication channels.
- Continually monitor system health, respond to issues, and troubleshoot irregularities to prevent service-impacting incidents.
- Gather requirements, design, and deploy server-based solutions to meet business needs.
- Work with proprietary applications for implementation and upgrades.
- Develop internal documentation and procedures related to systems infrastructure.
- Provide guidance and instruction to support technical resources for basic server administration and troubleshooting.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation, including support for Microsoft OS and basic network issues.
- Assist with tasks such as application support, patch management, and client support activities.
- Occasionally update and manage scripts, such as PowerShell and Windows batch scripts.
- Assist in regulatory audit remediation (PCI, HIPAA, etc.).
- Perform essential functions while complying with reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
- Handle equipment of varying sizes and weights, including lifting and installing equipment into racks and light cabling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work within an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
- Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Extensive experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler, StoreFront, Delivery Controller, and FAS.
- Experience with the installation and configuration of FSLogix.
- Strong working knowledge of general networking concepts.
- Experience with Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019.
- Working knowledge of basic database administration functions.
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role (Citrix and Microsoft).
