Transition from Software Dev into Application Security

This neighborhood nonprofit has a sophisticated security approach that is unusual for the nonprofit sector. The company is looking for an application security engineer to join their well-established and qualified team. Look no further if you're searching for a highly technical position where you can delve right into application security! This is a full-time, primarily remote position; you will be asked to come into the office once every quarter, but only candidates local to the Philly, NJ, and Delaware will be considered.

Ideal candidates will come from a software developer/software engineering background and will have some familiarity of cyber security concepts. Knowledge of SDLC, OWASP, CI/CD pipelines, and/or SAST/DAST would be highly valued. Required Skills & Experience

• Professional experience in cyber security, preferably application security
  • OWASP
  • SAST/DAST
• Software development background, or strong ability to code (any language)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience as a professional software developer
