Linux Engineer (AZ Local Only)

A Phoenix-based company in the storage industry is seeking to add a Linux Engineer to its team. This position will require prior knowledge and experience through various technology disciplines heavily focusing on cloud and Linux technologies. The ability to support, manage, deploy, and enhance IT infrastructure and the associated services in alignment with both business objectives and IT strategies is essential to the role
*This role has the possibility to be fully/ mostly remote, but applicants must be based in Arizona. Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in primary functional areas
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • An equivalent combination of education with experience may be substituted
• Strong Linux & Cloud (specifically Azure & AWS) technical skills is needed
• Additional experience in 1 or more of the following:
  • Windows
  • SANS/ NAS storage (ex: Nimble, Netapp, etc.)
  • Virtual server platforms (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V, etc)
  • Automation and Scripting
  • Networks
  • Telephone and IVR technologies

What You Will Be Doing

• Supporting cloud migration of selected services
• Assisting in the creation and automation of cloud environment deployments and monitoring
• Developing and customizing scripts for the automation of management and reporting functions
• Ensuring IT solutions meet all business needs while adhering to the established standards, policies, and methodologies of the company as well as the industry’s best practices
• Interfacing with vendors and participating in activities for service and product evaluation, support, and purchase
• Providing technology management, implementation, and support services across the company’s infrastructure with a focus on cloud/ server/ storage technologies
• Partnering with the development team to provide infrastructure support for business software development activities
