Remote Cloud Engineer

A company in the Saas industry is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to add to their growing team. This Engineer will come on board as their AWS SME and will be going a lot of POC work and optimization for them as the company matures. One of the immediate initiatives will involve upgrades to their current CI system, Gitlab, and potential research into a migration to GitHub Actions. They will also work extensively with Terraform and serverless infrastructure.
Although your core project will be around AWS optimization and build out, this work will come in waves and have some downtown in between. During those times, you’ll be contributing to development projects across their product lines. This will entail about 60% development, 40% cloud systems, with their primary apps being React web apps written in JavaScript/Typescript. Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience working with a major cloud provider, ideally AWS
• Development background with strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong experience with IAC technology such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience designing new features and/or products
• Team oriented but with an ownership mentality
• Experience with Git

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with AWS cloud architecture
• Serverless experience
