Security Analyst (Threat Hunter)

A managed security service provider is seeking to expand their team by hiring a new Cyber Security Analyst. This analyst's daily work will be devoted to client-facing Managed Detection & Response services. They will work with the company's exclusive NDR technology to perform daily threat hunting tasks for each of their six main clients. Additionally, they will work with whatever EDR tools their customers currently have installed. Every day, this analyst will become better acquainted with the environment of their clients, use tools to identify suspicious behaviors, share findings with the client, and serve as a consultant to suggest ongoing security improvements. Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of managed detection and response experience in a security-focused role
• Strong network forensic skills
• Prior expertise threat hunting with an EDR tool
• Ability to work with clients and present results in a consultative, professional manner
• Strong Windows/Linux background
• Experience with scripting or automation in at least one common language

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, a related field, or equivalent work experience
