This company is looking for a strong Director of UX/UI Design and Research to join their team. In this role, you will be entrusted with the task of bringing a profound understanding of user-centric design principles to the organization, complemented by strategic thinking to ensure their products align with user needs and expectations. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing user journeys across all initiatives, spanning customer, coworker, and merchant partner segments. Your primary duty is to formulate and execute a vision and strategy for user experience, ensuring uniform and seamless interactions across multiple organizational brands and lines of business. Cultivating a culture of ongoing understanding, learning, and enhancing the customer experience is a pivotal success indicator for this role.

This position is open to having candidates local to their Plano, TX or Salt Lake City, UT offices. If candidates are located outside of these cities, potential relocation assistance will be provided. Work from home flexibility is offered, though the preference is having this individual in office at least 3 days per week. This position does not offer sponsorship or opportunity to work Corp to Corp at this time. Required Skills & Experience
  • Proficient in crafting and conveying enduring visions for user experience that are in harmony with overarching business goals.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as a UX/UI Designer.
  • Skilled in guiding product design teams, with a minimum of three team members under your leadership.
  • Accomplished in formulating UX strategies spanning multiple product portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success in the application of analytical skills to unearth opportunities, gathering user feedback, and implementing it in the development of intricate products.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering collaboration and garnering support for the UX strategy.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Create and uphold a design system library, guaranteeing uniformity in design elements, style, and components across the organization, in collaboration with Marketing and other content creators.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering Leadership to ensure the final product aligns with the intended design and user experience, maintaining quality assurance.
  • Work closely with Product Leadership to preserve the business architecture associated with wireframes, user flows, and design specifications.
What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities
  • Define and propagate design principles, guidelines, and best practices across the UX/UI department.
  • Take charge of a team of UX/UI experts, offering leadership, mentoring, and support.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to implement the organization's technology strategy.
  • Supervise user research efforts and lead a team of optimization professionals to identify and validate opportunities for shaping product development.
  • Create and execute strategies for usability testing across the department.
  • Establish and manage a design system library, ensuring consistency in design elements, styles, and components in alignment with Marketing and other content creators in the organization.
  • Work in tandem with Product and Engineering Leadership to assure that the final product matches the intended design and user experience.
  • Collaborate with Product Leadership to maintain business architecture standards pertaining to wireframes, user flows, and design specifications.
