Android Mobile Developer

An exciting startup working on an universal rewards app that allows users to redeem all forms distance traveled for monetary rewards is looking to hire an Android developer to join the team. You will be working closely with product, design, and UI/UX Teams to improve the current platform to support all the new features and scalability. 

Responsibilities 

• Designing and implementing our Android applications
• Work with product, design, UI/UX teams to create and execute plans for improving existing or creating new features
• Develop high-quality features to add to our applications 
• General troubleshooting to maintain a good user experience 
• Provide general improvement to our code base for scalability later on

Desired Skills & Experience

• 4+ years experience developing Android consumer-facing apps
• Android: SDK, APIs for location and motion, animations
• Java
• RESTful API’s and asynchronous web services
• Existing experience with building and maintaining large-scale apps on Android platforms
• Existing experience incorporating industry standard libraries, frameworks, build process, and best practices
• Existing experiences writing unit tests, integration tests, and ability to track and prevent crashes
