Senior Python Engineer - Genome Sequencing - Hybrid in SF

Job Description: 

As a Senior Python Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute their technical expertise and passion for exceptional engineering to aid in the development of a platform focused on storing, analyzing, and leveraging genomics and health information for full-time employment. 

You will be responsible for crafting robust and well-tested code. Contribution to the architectural and operational aspects of the computing infrastructure will be expected. A key aspect of this role is to foster a supportive environment for collective learning and development, while actively participating in all phases of the development process, aligned with the organization's mission.

Required Skills & Experience

• The candidate should possess a strong command of Python and ideally be familiar with other programming languages.
• Hands-on experience deploying containerized Python applications in production settings is essential.
• Familiarity and comfort with contemporary software development practices, including unit testing, CI/CD, and devops.
• Exposure to information architecture strategies, preferably involving a mix of relational, non-relational, and message schema tools.

Desired Skills & Experience

• HL7 and/or FHIR, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), healthcare and HIPAA compliance, sequence analysis, ETL pipelines, analytics, ML/AI, system security, full-stack teamwork.
