Senior B/E Engineer

Our client is searching for a Senior Backend Engineer to play an important role designing our main product and improving our main system. You will be working closely with product and other important stakeholders to shape the future of the company.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• Six or more years of professional experience in backend engineering.
• Backend engineering experience with Golang, other backend languages such as Rust, Elixir, Ruby on Rails, Java, C++ are acceptable as well. But must have SOME Go experience.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure.
• Strong experience with CICD.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Proven ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• The ability to hit the ground running.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Golang, cloud, and other languages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement APIs, microservices, and system architectures.
• Optimize and enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of our backend infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed technology decisions.
• Implement best practices for security, data protection, and compliance.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and promote knowledge sharing.
