Senior Backend Engineer (Golang, Rust, Ruby)

As a Senior Backend Engineer at our company, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining our scalable and high-performance backend systems. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions that drive our business forward. Your expertise in multiple programming languages and cloud platforms will be crucial in shaping the future of our technology stack.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of professional experience in backend engineering.
• Proficiency in Rust, Golang, Ruby, and Elixir programming languages - a mix of all four or just one is acceptable!
  • Golang is prioritized
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Proven ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Rust, Golang, Ruby, and Elixir.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement APIs, microservices, and system architectures.
• Optimize and enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of our backend infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed technology decisions.
• Implement best practices for security, data protection, and compliance.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and promote knowledge sharing.
