Broadcast Engineer

Our client, a global broadcast media and entertainment company, is actively looking for a Broadcast Engineer to join their team in Stamford, CT! This role is fully onsite so local candidates are required.

***This is a 3 month initial contract with the opportunity to extend based on performance***

This Broadcast Engineer will focus primarily on Post-Production and will report to the Sr. Director, Production Engineering. Hours vary sometimes depending on need so candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule!

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the smooth operation of Post-Production for the facility acting as front-line support, and troubleshooting and performing technical diagnosis
  • Responsible for the support of both Live and Post-Production operations within the facility
  • Responsible for confirming that equipment used in the Post-Production process works properly
  • Work with external providers to resolve technical and workflow issues with provided equipment and systems
  • Implementation of a routine preventative maintenance program, including software and hardware updates
  • Install Audio and Video equipment
  • Regulate, document, and implement procedures
  • Will be exposed to ProTools, Screening Rooms, Edits, and Graphics

Required Skills & Experience

  • BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support role at a Post-Production facility or operation
  • Knowledge and experience with Avid ACSR in Media Composer, Interplay, and Nexis
  • Knowledge of 4K workflows and codecs is a plus
  • Should be passionate about the Post-Production process and be excited by new technologies
