Job Description

They’re looking to add a Senior QA Engineer to their growing team that will help lay down automation framework in Cypress for a fully remote opportunity within Canada.

Venture capital is a key funding source for such individuals and can enhance alternative asset portfolios significantly. Investors can utilize this platform to build and fine-tune their venture capital portfolios. Their platform empowers investors to streamline the process of constructing and managing institutional-grade portfolios in a highly efficient manner. Through this platform, investors can access rigorously screened investment opportunities, invest through feeders, and keep track of their investments, all via a user-friendly digital interface.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years experience in a QA automation role
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, quality assurance methods and testing principles.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript
  • Scalable experience with Cypress framework.
  • AWS experience
  • Attention to detail, tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn the product.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Fintech experience is a huge plus
  • Experience working with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience developing product test harnesses
  • Experience in a fast-paced agile development environment
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
  • Design, create and execute automation scripts using Cypress.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to limit the overall time required for regression testing releases through prioritizing test cases to be automated.
  • Automate from scratch
  • Monitor and report on test results and test coverage.
  • Actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for the product.
  • Provide ongoing support to the continuous improvement process of the QA lifecycle.
