Senior Data Scientist - Remote/Energy/Sensor Data/Python/SQL/AWS

Job Description
Our client, an innovator in the energy and utilities space, is searching for a Senior Data Scientist to join their team. The company has developed a time series platform that collects large-scale sensor data then uses that data for ingesting, visualizing, analyzing, and training machine and deep-learning models in order to save utility companies time and money, as well as anticipate and mitigate power outages or other preventable issues. 

The role will primarily utilize Python for scripting, machine learning algorithms, and cloud work in an AWS environment.

The position is a full-time, direct hire, fully remote opportunity. 

Required Skills & Experience
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar
- Expert knowledge of Python, SQL, and AWS
- Time Series experience
- Knowledge of sensor data

Desired Skills & Experience
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar
- Previous professional exposure to Golang
- Previous experience working with / analyzing the grid
