Senior Database Engineer

An international law firm is hiring a Senior Database Engineer in a full time capacity. This will be onsite 1-2 days per month in their DC office.

This law firm totes over 900-attorneys globally, so their systems are enterprise level. This Senior Database Engineer will be helping with a major migration as they move all HR data from on-prem to the cloud and do a multi-tier data overhaul. The ideal candidates have scripting experience in either C#, PowerShell or Python and have extensive SQL and T-SQL experience. SSRS and SSIS experience is important and any PowerBI is a plus. Prior cloud work in AWS is ideal. Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (BS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred); substantial related work experience may substitute
• A minimum of eight years of experience as a database engineer
• Prior experience in a law firm or other professional services firm preferred
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and expertise in the following:
  • T-SQL programming
  • Administration
  • Database Object programming
  • Architecture
  • Extensive experience with Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) using SSIS
  • Extensive experience with creating reports using SSRS and PowerBI
  • Database and Data Quality Analysis
  • Understanding of data warehousing and SSAS
  • Proficiency with scripting language: PowerShell, Python, VB Script or C#
