A global insurance company based in Worcester County is seeking a talented Full Stack Java Engineer to join their team of passionate professionals.

You will be on a team of 6 using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, Microservices, SQL, Oracle, and AWS to develop agency portals, streamlining data collection and enhancing efficiency in claims processing. The ideal candidate must have 8+ years of experience using Java, Angular or React, and AWS.

This full-time role is hybrid 3 x week and comes with amazing benefits!

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex application systems.
  • Work both individually and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ensure adherence to department standards and quality control processes.
  • Lead decision-making processes with IT management and team members.
  • Make recommendations to effectively implement project requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s in CS or related field.
  • 8 years’ experience with Spring Boot and Java full stack technologies.
  • Team lead experience.
  • Proficiency in Angular or React.
  • Solid understanding of RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle DB.
  • Familiarity with XML/XSD/XSLT and JSON.
  • Experience with modern source control, build, and continuous integration solutions.
  • Proficient in UNIX/Linux Shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Spring/Tomcat application server.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience using JIRA, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Nexus, BitBucket, Maven/Gradle.
  • Proven ability to integrate and evaluate new advancements in industry practices.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
