DevOps Engineer

Job Description
Our client is a large, Fortune 500 enterprise looking to bring on a mid-level DevOps Engineer to build and maintain AWS Cloud infrastructure. This candidate will be writing Terraform templates and modules, developing shell scripts via Python/PERL/Bash, utilizing Ansible for automation and patch management, and using Jenkins to provision CI/CD pipelines. The company is steadily growing, so the primary projects this role will be working on is implementing next-gen, modern infrastructure as well as best practices. The client is also looking to bring in this person to ramp up their automation solutions. This is a fully remote position.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer/SRE
• IaC experience using Terraform
• Can comfortably work in an AWS environment
• Background in Linux OS and ability to perform basic commands
• Shell scripting experience with Bash, PERL, or Python
• ELK stack experience
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Very observant and pays attention to detail
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Desired Skills & Experience

• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Security certifications such as Security+, CE, or DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 a big plus
