Senior R&D Engineer

Job Description Our client's new R&D division is exploring and harnessing cutting-edge technologies such as conversational AI, quantum computing, blockchain/smart contracts, and more for commercial applications. We're looking for a tech-savvy generalist with proficiency in various programming languages, databases, public cloud services, and DevOps. If you have experience building applications from the ground up or working in R&D with emerging technologies, you're exactly who we're looking for. This collaborative team operates in a hybrid model, meeting in-person twice a week in North Phoenix, making local candidates or those open to relocation preferred. Remote work is not an option for this role.

• Computer science or related degree
• 5+ years programming experience in Python, Go, Java, or Node
• Database skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• DevOps expertise (CI/CD, automation, IaC, containerization)
• Cloud-native app development experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Interest in staying updated on emerging technologies like quantum computing, post-quantum cryptography, machine learning, and web3

Desired Skills & Experience

• Web framework UX (React, Angular, Vue, JQuery)
• Web3 and Solidity proficiency
• Basic understanding of MLOps and ML concepts
• Basic knowledge of Quantum algorithms
• Cryptography basics
