VP/Director of AI / NLP / Health industry experience

A health company is looking for a hands-on AI leader and innovator to oversee their team of 6 (Data Engineers and Data Scientists) and once hired continue to build out a team under them, moving into more of a strategy/team management role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NLP, working with secure health data, and Elastic Search experience for document storage. This team is taking real-time streaming data from hospitals and building AI pipelines and models with a Search API on top. If you are a thought leader interested in taking AI and innovation to the next level then this position is for you. Must have prior experience leading a team, working with stakeholders, and determining strategic visions within a Machine Learning environment. This position is fully remote, ideally looking for someone local to Southern California for quarterly lunch meetups and team bonding.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years professional Machine Learning exeprience
• Experience working in the Health/Healthcare space or experience working with sensitive data
• Natural Language Processing
• Elastic Search
• Experience leading teams consisting of both Data Engineers and Machine Learning Engineers
• Interest in moving into a strategic leadership role
