We are partnered with a fiber broadband startup company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They are seeking a Network Engineer to join their team.
Some responsibilities include designing of the company’s all-optical broadband platform, coordinating, leading, and actively deploying the equipment, and supporting it all once it's deployed. They are seeking talented, enthusiastic candidates who are excited to be a part of a growing company with a greenfield network.
Duties and Responsibilities include:

Some responsibilities include designing of the company’s all-optical broadband platform, coordinating, leading, and actively deploying the equipment, and supporting it all once it's deployed. Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Design and maintain: optical transmission systems, IP routing and switching equipment, XGS-PON OLTs and ONTs, and Wi-Fi routing solutions
- Document and distribute design, deployment, and maintenance standards for the broadband platform
- Manage the ongoing maintenance of the broadband platform, including grooming, augmentation, and upgrades
- Perform capacity and other planning functions for the broadband platform
- Configure and maintain IP routing infrastructure, manage Internet connections, and associated services (e.g., caching servers)
- Troubleshoot technical issues from customer or platform support teams and work with equipment vendors and service providers to resolve them
- Develop and sustain relationships with equipment vendors and service providers
- Be the subject matter expert on one or more aspects of the broadband platform
- Stay current on the latest trends and changes in the relevant technologies and the broadband industry
- IP Networking – Routing, Switching, Cabling experience
- Working knowledge of optical transmission systems, XGS-PON, Wi-Fi, and/or IP routing and switching
- BGP, DWDM, and SonicWall
- Practical experience using these technologies in a service provider environment
- Hands-on deployment and troubleshooting skills
- Security experience
