Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to spearhead electrical design and development within our robotics team. This is a full-time hybrid position, offering a blend of remote and onsite work at our Nashua location. As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the electrical architecture and ensuring the successful integration of electrical systems into their robotic platforms.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the electrical engineering team in designing, prototyping, and integrating electrical systems for robotic applications.
  • Develop electrical schematics, layouts, and oversee PCB design for robotic control systems, sensors, actuators, and power distribution.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, software development, and robotics specialists to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations of electrical designs to optimize reliability and performance.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets related to electrical engineering activities.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance the capabilities and efficiency of robotic systems.
  • Oversee testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems during development phases.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers within the electrical team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in electrical design and development for complex systems, preferably in robotics, automation, or mechatronics.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle) for PCB design and layout.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and digital/analog circuit design.
  • Experience with sensors, actuators, motor control, and power electronics.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and wireless technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements for electrical systems (e.g., UL, CE).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
