Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hands-On Engineering Manager to join our talented team. As a Hands-On Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our small but highly skilled engineering team to drive technological innovation and support our rapid growth trajectory.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead by example, contributing hands-on expertise in Python, Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS to develop scalable and efficient solutions.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a small team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives, driving innovation and efficiency.
- Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources, prioritize tasks, and manage workload to maximize productivity and meet deadlines.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and implement best practices to maintain code quality and reliability.
- Infrastructure Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize our tech stack and infrastructure to enhance performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure system stability and data security.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team to promote transparency and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software engineering, with expertise in Python, Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong technical aptitude, with a passion for staying updated on emerging technologies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
