Permanent opportunity in Atlanta, GA for a Project Manager with retail and or construction experience who will support the company's store operations growth strategies by managing cross-functional project teams and drive resolution of issues for successful implementation of distribution
center (DC) and store level projects. The project manager will:
- Effective delivery of assigned projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of completion.
- Accuracy of project documentation used by multiple support teams.
- Consistent use of established policies, procedures, and tools for project delivery.
- Flexibility to make adjustments in schedules, team members, and follow up.
- Feedback from cross-functional team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5-years project management experience with cross-functional teams (IT and Business Operations Teams).
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or a related business discipline from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience (Preferred but will consider commensurate experience)
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical resources and work toward problem resolution.
- Ability to assess current process flows as work traverses across team members and relate to existing operational tools.
- Demonstrated experience with MS365 Applications, TEAMS, Power BI, Microsoft Forms, PROMAPP, MS Project.
- Ability to review and recommend applications that can be used as continuous improvements and productivity enhancements.
- Expert level experience with Microsoft Office suite of products including: Excel (including v-lookups, pivot tables, formulas, and Macros), Word, Project, PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills (both presentation and written) appropriate for varied audiences from new, inexperienced team members or senior executives.
- Ability to explain implementation plan with project team and develop pertinent training and job aids.
- May be required to manage or assist with setup / management of distribution center and division level projects.
- Minimal travel required.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Adheres to established standards and tools used to manage store level projects.
- Builds cross-functional project teams based on project type.
- Partners with Field and HQ Personnel to determine business requirements and success criteria for projects.
- Leads and offers ‘best practice’ recommendations for project management where appropriate.
- Creates project schedule and assigns tasks to team members, providing direction and tools/templates for execution.
- Collaborates with cross-functional IT resources to understand changes in store features that drive changes to Project Planning templates.
- Partners with the Customer Support team the 1st day of each month to receive feedback from planning efforts and assist with problem resolution.
- Creates and socializes a path of communication/escalation, horizontally across team members and vertically, to raise the visibility of issues and expedite problem resolution.
- Facilitates post-change lessons learned sessions as needed for continuous improvement.
- Ensures project memorialization through established administrative practices.
