Mid-Level Frontend React Engineer

Role Overview: They are seeking a talented Mid-Level Frontend Engineer to join then in Boston, MA. As a key member of the frontend development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining user interfaces for next-generation defense technology platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including backend engineers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly frontend solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain intuitive and responsive user interfaces for our defense technology platforms.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional frontend components.
• Implement frontend features and functionalities using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js.
• Optimize application performance and ensure compatibility across various browsers and devices.
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and ensure code quality and best practices.
• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in frontend development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related frontend technologies.
• Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React.js.
• Experience with responsive design and frontend optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and/or defense-related projects is desirable but not required.
