Our Client, who are working on developing innovative therapies for various diseases specifically in the field of immunology and oncology, are looking to add a System Administrator to their team. They are looking for a talented and diligent systems administrator to maintain and administer their company’s networked system of computers. This role would start as on-site 5 days a week in their Massachusetts office that's just West of Boston. This role does have the possibility to move towards a hybrid model later on. 
As a System Administrator your main responsibilities would include troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, as well as ensuring that all computing operations run with optimal performance and security. Their ideal candidate would be someone with an excellent ability to solve problems using their in-depth understanding of information systems and computing solutions and having attention to detail. This ideal candidate is passionate about process improvement, willing to be a team player, and willing to handle all support requests with courtesy and professionalism

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 5 years of System Administration experience
  • Familiarity with various operating systems, but Windows experience is highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operation best practices including; expert knowledge of security, storage, date protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft centered programing languages: such as PowerShell
  • Experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users

Preferred Qualifications
  • Networking experience with Cisco and Laboratory systems
  • Experience within a Pharma/Biotechnology background
