Principal ML Data Scientist

A Fortune 500 Real-Estate Investment firm is looking for a Principal ML Scientist to join their office on a hybrid basis. This is a unique opportunity to be the first person dedicated to data science and business strategy within the organization, working closely with existing teams of data engineers and data analysts.

In this role you’ll interface with key stakeholders to consult on short-term and long-term projects and impact decision making with data-driven insights to help the firm find unique opportunities in the market to continue to drive revenue. 
Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions to complex business problems within an Azure environment.
• Experience in a managerial or leadership role, with demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
• Solid understanding of machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and experimental design, with hands-on experience implementing solutions using Azure Machine Learning.
• Experience implementing Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies, such as Azure Text Analytics, Cognitive Services, or similar tools, to extract insights from unstructured text data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively translate technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in a start-up environment or real-estate industry is a plus.

• Lead the development and implementation of data science strategies to drive business growth and innovation within an Azure environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to improve business processes, products, and services, leveraging Azure services and tools.
• Build and lead a team of data scientists, setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Design and implement advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical models, leveraging Azure Machine Learning, to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
• Implement Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies to analyze unstructured text data, such as customer reviews, social media posts, and internal documents, to uncover valuable insights.
• Partner with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to monitor business performance and inform decision-making, utilizing Azure Data Explorer, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on Azure-based solutions, and evaluate their potential impact on our business.
