We are working with a company that is focused on providing a direct broadcast satellite and American television. Solving companies’ business problems and achieving their vision by engaging in software. This company is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to bring in a team-oriented and creative player.
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will design and manage cloud infrastructure using automated processes as well as implemented practice with security controls. Collaborate with Architecture and Development teams to implement highly available solutions. This role likely involves ensuring the security of cloud-based systems and infrastructure, with a focus on AWS as the cloud platform and GitLab for version control and collaboration. You will have hands on experience combined with working knowledge.
Key responsibilities for a Cloud Security Engineer in this context might include:
  1. AWS Security:
    • Implementing and managing security measures in AWS environments.
    • Configuring and monitoring AWS security services such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and AWS CloudTrail.
    • Conducting security assessments and implementing best practices for securing AWS resources.
  2. GitLab Security:
    • Ensuring the security of source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
    • Implementing and enforcing access controls for code repositories.
    • Integrating security scanning tools into the CI/CD process to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
  3. Network Security:
    • Designing and implementing security measures for Dish Network's network infrastructure.
    • Monitoring and responding to security incidents and vulnerabilities in the network.
  4. Compliance and Auditing:
    • Ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
    • Conducting regular security audits and assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
  5. Incident Response:
    • Developing and implementing incident response plans for security incidents.
    • Investigating and responding to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  6. Collaboration:
    • Collaborating with development and operations teams to integrate security into the software development life cycle.
    • Providing security guidance and education to other teams within Dish Network.
  7. Documentation:
    • Maintaining documentation for security policies, procedures, and configurations.
  8. Continuous Improvement:
    • Staying up to date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
    • Continuously improving security processes and controls based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
