Senior Tax Manager

A company in the biotech and diagnostics industry located in Irving, Texas is currently looking for a Senior Tax Manager to add to their growing team. As the first hire in their tax department, this individual will essentially act as a subject-matter-expert and facilitator in all things tax related. Ideally, this person will have extensive tax knowledge across areas like income tax compliance, indirect tax, and tax provisions. They should also be able to create strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (tax service providers) and have the leadership ability to build a team from the ground up for a fast-growing company.

This role will require someone to work on-site 2-3 days a week at their Irving, Texas office.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• Active CPA license
• 7 years of experience in corporate taxes
• Big Four and/or experience working for a publicly traded company
• Prior experience managing external parties for tax services

Desired Skills & Experience

• Diagnostic industry experience

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities

• 50% Overseeing the work for external tax advisors
• 30% Miscellaneous tax requests
• 20% Managing all tax disclosures for financial statements
