Our client is seeking a Collections Specialist for a contract opportunity in Meriden, Connecticut. This role will be fully onsite.

Location: Meriden, CT 06450
Contract Duration: 6 Months (extension likely)

Required Skills & Experience
  • Intermediate MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word skills, as well as general computer knowledge.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with all levels of the organization and outside vendors.
  • Must be very detail oriented, be able to handle multiple projects at once and be capable of solving complex problems with help from the team.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment independently, with little or no supervision and under tight and demanding deadlines.
  • 2-3 years related collections experience. Ideally 3+ years of experience. 
What You Will Be Doing (Primary Goals)
  • Collections- email and telephone as well as follow-ups from non-responsive customers
  • Invoicing of sales orders and service contracts
  • Problem solving customer/internal issues
  • PO/Invoice reconciliations
  • Manage AR inbox email
  • Customer portal invoice submission, inquiry and follow up with customer to payment resolution
  • Ability to learn and work within the new upcoming AR collection tool (GrowFin)
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to resolve any invoice issues
  • Update collection file with notes from collection efforts
  • Follow up on product returns and ensure credit memos are processed
Secondary Goals
  • AR clean-up of tax and shipping charge issues
  • Pulling audit documentation
  • AdHoc projects
  • Participate in physical inventories
