Senior Staff Site Reliability

An enterprise E-Commerce company located in Mountain View, California is looking for a Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer to add to their growing team. This individual will be highly focused on building out observability tooling and scaling it across the organization. This will involve working cross-functionally with developer, infrastructure and SRE teams to understand their specific requirements and implementing solutions that fit their needs. An ideal candidate will have experience working on similar projects in large-scale, complex environments with exposure to several different tools.

The role will be primarily remote but an ideal candidate must live in a close proximity to Mountain View, California for occasional collaboration. 

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of Systems, DevOps or SRE related experience
• Extensive experience implementing large-scale observability solutions
• Expertise in monitoring, alerting and logging tools such as ELK stack, New Relic, DataDog, Prometheus and Grafana
• Knowledge of tracing technologies like Zipkin or Jaeger
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ruby, Bash, Python or Go
• Understanding of SRE and DevOps methodologies such as infrastructure as code. Continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Deep experience working with public cloud providers like GCP, Azure or AWS
• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with individuals from different technical domains
• Track record of leading and delivering on successful observability initiatives
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Familiarity with APM tools like AppDynamics or Dynatrace
