Our client is a cutting-edge autonomous robotics company that specializes in designing and developing advanced robotics systems that enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety in various environments.

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on firmware development to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the electrical engineering efforts, designing and implementing firmware for our clients autonomous robotic systems, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in their products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the electrical engineering team in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems for autonomous robotic platforms.
  2. Design and implement firmware for embedded systems, including sensor integration, motor control, communication protocols, and safety features.
  3. Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and robotics specialists to integrate electrical and firmware components into complete robotic systems.
  4. Conduct thorough testing and validation of electrical systems and firmware to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with specifications.
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize electrical design processes, firmware development workflows, and overall system performance.
  6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in electrical engineering with a focus on firmware development for embedded systems.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and familiarity with microcontroller architectures.
  • Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and circuit simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
  • Solid understanding of digital and analog electronics, power distribution, and signal processing.
  • Knowledge of robotics principles, motion control systems, and sensor technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
