Job Title: End to End Data QA Engineer
Location: Based in NYC. Open to remote or hybrid 1 to 2 days a week.
Pay rate: $55 to $70/hour depending on experience.

This is a 1-year contract that may or may not convert to full time afterwards.

Our client is a leading advertising intelligence and sales enablement platform that helps media companies, agencies, and brands optimize their advertising strategies. Established over a decade ago, they provide comprehensive ad tracking and competitive insights to empower their clients with actionable data. With their headquarters located near Bryant Park in New York City, the company boasts a robust team of approximately 150 employees. Their platform is renowned for its ability to aggregate and analyze vast amounts of advertising data, offering clients detailed analytics and insights that drive informed decision-making.

Following a recent acquisition that quadrupled the company's size, our client is undergoing significant expansion and integration efforts, particularly within their QA team.

We are seeking three End to End Data QA Engineers for a 1-year contract to join this expanding team. This role involves a mix of 60% automation and 40% manual testing. Candidates will focus on end-to-end testing, ETL testing, and utilizing Databricks. They need experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Databricks to Oracle, and SQL scripts. The role demands comprehensive knowledge of ETL and end-to-end data testing to support backend transformation and data integration projects. The engineers will play a pivotal role in transitioning legacy systems, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining the high standards of the platform. There is a possibility that this contract may convert to a permanent position, but it is not guaranteed.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Databricks to Oracle, and SQL scripts
  • Proficiency in ETL and end-to-end data testing
  • Ability to work on backend transformation and data integration projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end testing, including ETL testing
  • Utilize Databricks for data processing
  • Support backend transformation and data integration projects
  • Ensure data integrity and maintain high platform standards
  • Transition legacy systems

Interview Process:

  1. Introduction: A 30-minute session with the Hiring Manager to discuss the role and evaluate initial fit.
  2. HackerRank Assessment: A take-home coding assessment to test technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Panel Interview: A comprehensive interview with a lead developer and a director of development to delve deeper into technical expertise and cultural fit within the team.
