AWS Cloud Engineer/ Devops Engineer Raleigh

Position Overview:
A well- established and local manufacturing company seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and a passion for leveraging AWS services to build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Design and Management:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations.
• DevOps and CI/CD:
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
• Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures and performance improvements.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and manage security controls and best practices.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, costs, and security compliance.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Expertise in DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and IAM best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or AWS CloudWatch.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or other relevant AWS certifications.
• Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes or ECS.
• Knowledge of database management and optimization.
