Exciting new contract Publications Specialist opportunity with an established firm. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA.

Contract Duration: 9-Months+

Required Skills & Experience
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of traditional and digital media and the ability to craft compelling stories across multiple channels to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to develop presentations, talking points and materials that support speaking opportunities for executives and spokespeople.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills and ability to work as a self-starter.
  • Strong initiative and ability to prioritize tasks and projects and to successfully handle multiple demands simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Strong communicator with excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to act gracefully under pressure and exercise good judgement in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Ability to build rapport and provide strategic counsel to senior leadership.
  • A Bachelors degree in communications, journalism or marketing with experience and demonstrated success leading strategic public relations and communications efforts.
  • 8+ years w/Bachelors degree; 2+ years management/supervisory experience

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
  • Leads and executes corporate partnership communications strategies, focused on enhancing new and existing partnerships through strategic executive engagement, targeted media relations, and alignment with corporate priorities and initiatives.
  • Leads the development of engaging and meaningful content and experiences that generate consistent conversation amongst key target audiences for partnerships and collaborations within the industry with media, partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Develops brand-focused strategic communication plans and sets and manages goals and editorial calendars to align with business priorities and partnership initiatives.
  • Builds effective campaigns to position senior executives as thought leaders and provides strategic counsel to executives to position the client as a leader in the healthcare industry.
  • Partners closely with cross-functional teams (alliance and segment leaders, partnerships, communications, people organization, marketing, legal and other internal stakeholders) to ensure alignment.
  • Drives strategies that are proven through testing and metrics. Analyzes campaigns and translates anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for driving campaigns.
  • Develops press releases, media story angles and pitches, briefings, speaking engagement presentations and other PR materials to support partnership launches, campaigns and initiatives.
  • Compiles monthly and quarterly results for senior leadership and stakeholders highlighting results (ROI).
  • Monitors audience feedback on a daily basis, is an advocate for the organization, and alerts internal stakeholders about potential issues when necessary.
  • Monitors PR trends and media landscape and recommends new media opportunities for partnerships. Keeps the team up to speed on industry-related news and flags opportunities to insert organization into the conversation.
  • Coordinates communication efforts across teams and manages relationships with other enterprise members, third-party vendors and agencies.
