My client a small cybersecurity consulting firm is seeking a Splunk Engineer to join their growing team. 6-month contract-to-hire position which requires 2-3 days onsite in either Manassas or D.C. You will support the customer’s overall cyber threat analysis efforts. Must successfully qualify for a Public Trust Clearance.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Splunk including installation, maintenance (version upgrades), operations (configuring log management, creating dashboards, creating alerts, managing communication methods such as pop-up windows, emails, or automated phone calls).
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience with security monitoring tools such as Log Management, Vulnerability Management, Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Firewalls, Network Access Control Systems (NACs), Identity Management systems and NetFlow.
- Hands-on experience with Log Management, Vulnerability Management, Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Firewalls, Network Access Control Systems (NACs), Identity Management systems and NetFlow
- Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ability to swiftly analyzing, investigating, and comprehending complex security issues and their impact on a customer’s business.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
